The Spotted Pig BBQ in Fair Play

This was my first time eating here and it was awesome!!! From the BBQ eggrolls and fried pickles got he pork and brisket... everything was point on!! I will definitely be back and will definitely encourage those that haven't tried it to do so!!

Fantastic. Great service. Brisket falls off the fork. Definitely one of those great finds out in the country.

This place has some true southern BBQ! It’s extremely tender and juicy, not to mention full of flavor. The BBQ nachos are a must. And if you like cheesecake then you will LOVE their cheesecake selection! I hope to make it back to this place soon.

Typical Southern BBQ Place. They do have better BBQ sauce than a lot of them though so I'll give them that. But these places really could use real silverware, plastic is annoying. Plus, they're all about being "green", so why use disposable cheap quality plastic silverware?

I am only upset they were sold out of brisket, but I did show up after the lunch rush. I ended up getting the half rib plate. The sides (okra, stew) were great. The ribs were wonderful! I apologize for not having better pictures, but I forgot about it once the food arrived!

Great food. Moist smoked pork and delciouis sides. Has outside dining as well as inside. Nice place to stop to and from the Western NC mountains.

Pork nachos and their hush puppies are a must try! They are amazing! The hush puppies have a honey drizzle and served with honey butter.

Really good. Split a Sampler plate with the wife and we both had way more than we could eat. Melt in your mouth brisket, great ribs, superb bbq chicken. Sides were good too.

Food is great and the staff is friendly and polite, but it's hard to guess when the restaurant is open. Showed up twice during posted "open" hours, only to find dejected customers leaving the parking lot after finding the restaurant unexpectedly closed.

Food was amazing we ended up getting the sampler and BBQ egg rolls. Everything was cooked to perfection and could definitely taste all the smoke flavors. The serves was above and beyond great! Was such a nice experience for just a passing thru stop and eat.

Best barbecue I’ve ever had. I got the double D and it was insanely huge and good. Coleslaw slaps too. Really hit the spot after hiking at rainbow falls. And the people working there were super friendly. Thanks spotted pig for giving me and my friends life again

The best BBQ. I've ever had!! If you're ever close it is well worth the detour. The smoker is out back and everything is made from scratch (including the pies and cheesecakes). You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but my favorites are the pulled pork. Brisket, baked beans, sweet potato crunch and red velvet cheesecake!!!

Fantastic little BBQ joint a few minutes off I-85. Super friendly staff and great food. Great sides. The chicken was outstanding. We will return.

Always good food. Sometimes you have to wait just because they get so busy but definitely a good stop on the weekend for some good bbq. The bbq egg rolls and nachos are amazing!!!

The best BBQ is South Carolina for sure, the service is excellent and fast. The BBQ spring rolls are life changing, highly recommend this place to anyone who thinks they know BBQ!

The food is good!Just a suggestion. If you really want to be environmentally friendly maybe don’t just take plastic straws away and hand out paper straws to kids only. It would be way more effective to also get rid of the plastic cups and plastic “silverware”.

After a vigorous hike, The Spotted Pig was on spot! BBQ that was seasoned just right, lots of sides that I love (sweet potato crumble), with quick service and well priced menu. We ate outside since it was nice out. Lots of picnic tables available.

The atmosphere is nice with indoor/outdoor seating...offering booths and tables inside. The whole restaurant is very clean and comfortable. The employees are high energy and stay busy and attentive to you. The bbq pork and brisket is great and flavorful. They offer three sauces: mustard base, sweet, and spicy...all really good! I've been here several times in the past and generally have a very positive experience. We got there about 7:15 on a Friday night and only waited about 20 minutes. However, they did run out of most of their meat by 8:00. I would suggest coming early for the best selection.

The food was good but some was better than otheesn Ribs were excellent but I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken. The corn bread had a unique flavor. Overall good food but they did have a bit of a problem.

Food qas great and staff was friendly. Good place for a relaxing BBQ meal.

They need help...food is awesome but not enough staff..called in for bbq and fries... 45 minutes later I was on my way

It's no doubt this is my favorite BBQ place to come to. Great staff to seat and serve you. The food is great. I love the BBQ sandwich with the 2 sides (slaw and bake beans). Price is very reasonable. Definitely Thumbs Up

Delicious pulled pork for take out, made a wonderful meal for four people. Looking forward to your dining room opening again.

USED SPOTTED PIG TO CATER AN EVENT. 5 STARS!!I worked with their Catering Manager, Cheyenna. From my very first contact, she was incredible to deal with. Menu, pricing, recommendations, special accommodations - she handled it all with a level of professionalism and knowledge rarely encountered. She then contacted me several days before the event just to assure me all was going according to plan. Then, confirmed with me the day of the event as to the time they would be delivering. She made the entire event effortless for me, while providing a perfect presentation for all the guests. The food was excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant, but it is their catering manager that is the superstar!

This spot is great! Convenient prices, considerable portions and the staff are always friendly.

The atmosphere was laid back and fun. The food was delicious, portion sizes were perfect. Will go back again when in the area.

Walking in door and being hit with that smoky smell, I knew we were in for a big treat. The food was amazing. Smoked to near perfection. 3 types of sauce was a nice touch. The spicy was a bit too spicy so I cut it with some of the sweet and tangy and it was just right. My husband got the sampler and I got the half rack. Didn't save any room for the dessert which is too bad. They had an amazing display of sweets. Will be back again.

If you happen to be near Fair Play then you have to stop in an eat here. I made a u-turn to eat here. Make no mistake it was totally worth it. We weren't really that hungry but everything was great! I ordered the brisket and while it was served up (pulled or shreaded) different than I am use to it was good. This is probably done to keep it moist. They have good homemade BBQ sauces with tanginess. Their sides don't fail to impress either. My wife ordered the (perfect) okra and it's the best I have ever had.

Wow. Definitely some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. The ribs were so tender and their dry rub is incredible. The sides were all really good too. I will definitely be back.

Always good food I love me some beef brisket they have the best BBQ sauce in my opinion I also love the ribs and the pulled pork but you got to get here fast most days because it'll be packed and no run out
